The question this article poses is this: “Can we still love the work of artists whose behavior we loathe?”. After reading the article, what do you think?
Should it matter if an artist is not an exemplary human being or lives a life that goes against basic moral principles? Can we and should we still like and admire their work? Should this matter? I can think of several current headlines involving athletes and musicians whose behavior is deplorable- do you still purchase their music or watch them play?
Can you think of any other artists whose lives were problematic but whose work people still admire?
